BBQ party at Tenpaku Park

| The weather held
out nicely for the second annual CHIC BBQ. It was the 31st October and a suitably overcast Halloween day which didn't stop the spirits coming out in numbers.....oops I mean the numbers coming out in great spirits. It was the usual early morning battle for the prized BBQ spot at Tempakus Park but thanks to Kyoko, Hitoshi and Ryoko we won that hands down and the two barbey's were blazing by mid morning. Once the chefs got into action the food just didn't stop coming, everyone enjoyed feasting on delicious chicken, fish and vegetables. Even the bucket of beer seemed bottomless or was everyone holding out for the ultimate frisbee and soccer challenge that lay ahead? It was wet conditions on the grounds of the ultimate frisbee field and while the darks got serious with a few warm up throws on the side, the lights kicked back taking the more relaxed approach with a few jokes and wet bottoms from sitting on the sideline. It didn't take long for the game to start getting some rythym and for the spectators to witness some action packed catches. There were no broken bones maybe a black eye and definitely some seriously muddy clothes but everyone had a ball. There was also some great soccer skills on display.
